What is a Podcast?
According to Statista, in 2020 over 155 million people listened to a podcast every week, and there are over 700,000 active podcasts and 29 million podcast episodes available. But what is a podcast? The term is a mixed word of “iPod” and “broadcast.” According to Oxford Languages, “A podcast is a digital audio file made available on the internet for downloading to a computer or mobile device, typically available as a series, new installments of which can be received by subscribers automatically.”

Students or faculty members of universities and research institutions in Hong Kong or Macau that subscribe to EBSCO full-text databases. We’ll select winners at random from all applicable entries on 18 June 2021. Winner will be notified by email. EBSCO will also announce the winner on the EBSCO Taiwan Facebook page.
